Parenting is Full of Red Herrings

Have you ever heard of a red herring?
Parenting is Full of Red Herrings - Have you ever heard of a red herring? It’s a clue used in mystery writing to throw readers off course, and parenting is FULL of them.
We spend so much time investigating the wrong leads, don't we? Our kids throw tantrums about looking "perfect" for school, while underneath, they’re struggling with friendship dynamics. They rage about screen time when they need some one-on-one attention.
I bet you’ve found yourself neck-deep in these rabbit holes many times before realizing - “Hang on, this isn’t even what we’re supposed to be talking about! How did I get roped into this drama?!”
Kids aren't being deliberately deceptive—they just haven't mastered the art of saying, "I'm feeling insecure." instead of "I HATE YOU AND MY LIFE IS OVER." (Let’s face it - some adults still haven’t learned this skill either!)
Apprenticing with Sherlock
Working with a coach is like apprenticing with Sherlock. I’ll teach you to solve these mysteries without falling for misdirections, and to distinguish meaningful evidence from the red herrings. Working with me, it will become second nature to tune into your child, calm the distracting noise in your mind, and let go of the chaos between you. With this kind of clarity, solutions naturally reveal themselves, and soon this unsolvable conundrum full of misdirects and dead ends becomes simple: our kids need us to see them, hear them, and love them.
